With 6 days to go, campaign for MC polls gains momentum


BJP candidates hold Nukkar Meetings, intensify door to door campaign

Chandigarh, December 11, 2016: With just a Week left for Municipal Corporation Elections, Nukkad meetings and public meetings marked the day for the BJP candidates contesting civic polls.

While the day saw BJP star campaigners attracting large crowds in different wards, other party candidates also got tremendous response from the people.

Kanwarjeet Singh, BJP candidate from ward number 14 stepped up his campaign and took out a massive rally which was taken out in Sector 45, residents of the area participated in large number in support of Kanwarjeet Singh.  “We are getting a tremendous response from the residents of our ward. I have taken note of all the problems in the area, and steps will be taken to solve them shortly.

” Nukkad meetings were also organized at various places in his ward. The uniqueness in his campaign was that his supporters walking along also cleaned up the roads as the pad yatra crossed from different parts of the ward.

MP Kirron Kher campaigned for BJP Candidate, Farmila Devi contesting from ward number 5.
Ravi Kant went on door-to- door canvassing and held two corner meetings in ward. The meeting was attended by a number of supporters. Kher also campaigned for different candidates in other parts of the city.

Arun Sood carried out a door to door campaign in Sector 38 West in ward number 8.  Rajesh Kumar Gupta (Bittu) BJP Candidate from ward No.16 (Sector 20 & 33) went door to door in Sector 33 and got a tremendous response from the people.

Asha Jaswal, candidate from ward number 17 today went door to door in Sector 21. Maheshinder Singh, candidate from ward 1 canvassed in Sector 7 here today by taking out a pad yatra.
