BJP has Strived for the Poor’s Rights and Growth: Sanjay Tandon

Residents Ready to Throw Congress out of the MC House

Chandigarh, December 16, 2016: With MC election campaign in its last leg it seems that the Congress party has already lost the war with the kind of response BJP is getting across city. The BJP Chandigarh State President, Sanjay Tandon who has been aggressively campaigning in support of all candidates across the city, went to different wards today.

Besides colony number 4 and sector 15, the BJP Chandigarh State President today campaigned in Sector 32 in support of Gupreet Singh Dhillon (Ward 21), Sector 40 in support of BJP-SAD candidate Inderjeet Kaur Kang (Ward 9) and sector 19 in support of Asha Kumari Jaswal (Ward 17) to reach out to the residents. Capt. Abhimanyu, Cabinet Minister, Haryana was also present in Sector 19.

While addressing a huge public gathering in colony number 4 in support of Shakti Parkash Devshali, candidate from ward 20 Sanjay Tandon, said, “Every citizen is aware how our brave soldiers carried out ‘surgical strike’ to eliminate terrorism. The world witnessed how our bold Prime Minister carried out another surgical strike to curb black money and terrorists funding. The city is ready to witness another surgical strike on the 18th of December wherein the residents will throw out the corrupt Congress politicians who are linked with numerous plan but all of their plans lead to scams not development.”

The Congress party’s manifesto released just two days before the D-day, has left the city residents perplexed, he said. They are in fix to understand whether the party’s intentions are true or is it the last moment trump card to woo the voters? There is no denying the fact that most of the development work has been initiated under the BJP regime and city’s youth has benefitted the most with the recent age relaxation for the city residents.

Tandon accompanied Latika Sharma, MLA, Kalka, and MP Kirron Kher to sector 15, where they addressed a public meeting in support of Raj Bala Malik, BJP candidate for ward number 2.

While addressing the public Tandon said, “Chandigarh attained international identification when Prime Minister Narendra Modi organized Yoga Day onJune 21 here in City beautiful at the Capitol Complex. With such huge presence of more than 40 thousand attendees Chandigarh was able to hog international headlines and receive international applaud. This time, voters must vote for the party as a gesture of thanks to the Prime Minster for his efforts and love for Chandigarh.”

What took so long for the Congress party to jot down their own achievements, or is it that they were not even able to list their accomplishments? Well, this definitely is a point to ponder! When you work, your work speaks for itself; you just don’t need to shout for it! The residents are intelligent and are well versed of the development that Chandigarh has witnessed since BJP’s governance”.

Commenting on demonetization Tandon added, “The country is undergoing a transition which is a transformation from awful to superior. This evolution from poverty to wealth may take a little time, but this 50-day phase is a gateway towards a better India, towards an evil-free country, and is a platform for a corruption-free country.”

BOX:
While Sanjay Tandon, BJP Chandigarh President has been campaigning from Day 1 for all candidates, on the other hand Pardeep Chhabra, Chandigarh Congress President is not visible campaigning for other party candidates. Tandon has been campaigning not only with star campaigners of the party, but has ensured he is visiting all wards from where party candidates are contesting. It is also notable that Tandon has visited these wards not once, but a number of times during the election campaign to strengthen party’s grip in the wards.

Congress should get ready for third surgical strike on 18the December: Sanjay Tandon

Congress manifesto is laughable, lacks vision: Sanjay Tandon

Chandigarh, December 16, 2016: Sanjay Tandon, Chandigarh BJP President, today said election manifesto released by the Chandigarh Congress should be ready for third surgical strike in city on 18th when the city goes for polls for a Congress-free Municipal Corporation, the first one being in PoK, and the second one on black money.

Addressing a press conference at BJP office, Kamlam in Sector 33 here, Tandon termed the Congress manifesto laughable and has exposed the Congress on what it could not do in the last 14 years and is a mockery with the people of Chandigarh.

Among other prominent BJP leaders who were present there included Aarti Mehra, senior party leader and former Incharge for Chandigarh, Raghbir Lal Arora, BJP Chandigarh Vice President, Amit Rana, President, Chandigarh unit of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), and Ravinder Pathania, Media Incharge of BJP Chandigarh.

Referring to a point made in the Congress manifesto promising housing for the UT employees, Tandon said, Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) had allotted the space but in 2008 and it was during the Congress regime that the proposal was scrapped and now with the initiatives of BJP it has been again revived.

Tandon said the manifesto promises to make city dust bin free and installing them where Sehaj Safai Kendras were not there, but can Congress explain in 14 years where these dust bins were installed and what was the budget.

On the other hand Modern dustbins were installed in city under Rs 1 crore garbage disposal scheme with Gas Authority of India Ltd. (GAIL).

The Congress should have talked about what they have done in the last 14 years and what they promise to do in the next 5 years.

The manifesto talks about upgrading the government schools, but I would like to ask them who got the schools upgraded?  It was BJP. Who initiated the move to make Chandigarh smart city?

It was BJP. Who made Chandigarh Kerosene free?
It was again BJP and What steps Congress took to bring water to city?, he said adding, it was because of the initiative taken by BJP that city will receive its full share of 2 crore 90 million gallons of water from two pipelines of Kajauli waterworks' phases V and VI?

Aarti Mehra, senior party leader and former Incharge for Chandigarh, while interacting with the media termed Congress manifesto as ‘Cut, Copy, Paste’ of BJP Vision Document, which she said only showed Congress has no vision for the city.

She added first Congress was doing ‘Cut, Copy, Paste’ with BJP releases and had done it with Vision Document now.

She said, he slogan given in the manifesto that the party is committed to the welfare of Chandigarh and will give a responsible and answerable administration. The last 14 years of their tenure is full of scams. Their former MP Pawan Kumar Bansal embarrassed Chandigarh with his involvement in railgate scam and the Congress President, Pardeep Chhabra was himself involved in 500 crore booth allotment scam and they are talking about commitment.

Mehra while commenting on the demonetization move of the Narendra Modi government said it was a welcome step to eradicate black money. She added things in Chandigarh were also getting better and during her campaign in the last few days she had not seen any queues outside banks.

Independent Candidate fraudulently registers name in two electoral rolls

Complaint filed with the UT Chief Electoral Officer for appropriate action

Chandigarh, December 13, 2016: A complaint has been filed against an independent candidate Bharat Bhushan Kapila from ward 14 for having intentionally registering his name at two election rolls by making false declaration.

The complaint has been submitted to the Chief Electoral Officer, UT Chandigarh, the complainants Lakhwinder Singh, a resident of Sector 18 and Hardeep Singh, resident of Sector 45.

The complaint states that while going the voter list for the purpose campaigning for the up-coming Chandigarh Municipal Corporation Election, 2016 in Ward No. 14 (Sector 45 and Village Burail), it came to their notice that Bharat Bhushan Kapila a Panchkula resident had got his name enrolled in the ward in voter list, 2016 at house No. 74-75, Keshoram Colony, Village Burail, Sector 45, in Chandigarh.

However on cross checking it was found that his name also figures in proposed voter list, 2017 for the Assembly Constituency Panchkula. The complainants have supported the complaint on the basis of Official Website of the Election Commission of India.

It has been further submitted that there are two Elector Photo Identity Card (EPIC) issued on his name from the Electoral Registration office, Panchkula, Haryana and from Electoral Registration officer, Chandigarh.  The EPIC issued in his name from the Electoral Registration office, Panchkula, Haryana bears the number HR/01/010510192 and AXN0280362 has been issued in his name from Electoral Registration Officer, Chandigarh.

The complainants have further submitted that as per Section 17 and 18 of the Representation of Peoples Act, 1950 says that no person can be registered as a voter the electoral roll for more than one constituency. However, it is apparent from the official record as shown on the official website of the Election Commission of India Bharat Bhushan Kapila  had deliberately registered himself in more than one constituency and got himself two different EPIC cards in his name by making intentional wrong declaration which makes him liable for the punishment under the  1950 Act.

Congress Party or Copy Paste Party?

Congress befooling city electorate says BJP General Secretary

Chandigarh, December 12, 2016: Congress Party, which has always been short of issues to campaign against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has been caught on the wrong foot for copying the releases issued by the BJP.
The Congress party has been copy pasting the BJP press releases by replacing the names of BJP candidates with Congress ones and following the same format as is being done by the BJP, besides also following the same tonality as in BJP releases.

The press note issued by the Congress on Sunday which was sent to the entire media was that of December 9, in which the BJP campaign release had given details of how trader community had extended support to party candidates. While the release talked about Congress campaign but the Congress failed to remove the headline, sub-headlines and first paragraph of the release, which talked about how BJP had intensified its campaign.

Taking a serious note of the development, Chander Shekhar, Chandigarh State BJP General Secretary said, “Congress has been exposed and it has been proved that the party is not only short of issues but is also cheating the people of Chandigarh by misleading them and taking support of the BJP press releases to reach out to them.”

He added, Congress should now accept, it is a party of scamsters as its leaders have no originality and are now copying the BJP press releases.

Baffled Congress has accepted its defeat before elections’: Sanjay Tandon

Cong should accept its misrule and accept BJP’s Achievements

Chandigarh, December 12, 2016: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chandigarh State President, Sanjay Tandon today said Congress leaders seem to have accepted their defeat before the elections.

He said Bansal’s reaction to demonetization is justified because he himself is a tainted leader and like other top Congress leaders in Delhi he also much be worried how to dispose off his black money.

Tandon said the Congress Party is a party without vision and is not ready to accept its own misrule in the last 14 years, and the achievements of the BJP tenure of last 10 months.

He said if Pardeep Chhabra has the courage he should debate on the issue at a public platform with BJP and explain about the scams during their tenure.

He added Congress rather than making false claims should admit BJP managed to get several works done in a few months, on which Congress had kept sleeping.

He said Congress reaction to demonetization was a clear indication that Congress leaders were not able to dispose off their black money.
