BJP committed to provide quality health care for city
While Congress kept sleeping, medical facilities were upgraded during BJP tenure
Chandigarh, December 8, 2016: The long pending demands of the residents were met by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) upgrading the health services in different parts of the city in the last two and a half years of BJP government in the centre.
Civil Hospital, Manimajra, and Civil Hospital, Sector 45 were upgraded from civil dispensaries to provide better facilities to the patients and new dispensary came up in Sector 49.
The city MP, Kirron Kher recently inaugurated a civil dispensary in Sector 49 constructed on over 1.25 acres at a cost of Rs 2.39 crore.
The dispensary in Sector 45 has been upgraded into 50-bed hospital in Sector 45. The hospital has an operation theatre, an X-ray room, a labour room and emergency, eye and ENT services. This hospital will provide the latest facilities and help reduce congestion in other hospitals in the city.
Further, PGI will develop it as its second campus comprising institutional and residential areas, which will be located in Sarangpur which has been again possible with the initiatives of BJP government in the centre.
