Senior BJP leader Aarti Mehra campaigns for BJP Candidates


Chandigarh, December 5, 2016: “City Beautiful has undergone tremendous development in last 10 months under the stewardship of MC Mayor Arun Sood. The upcoming MC elections are indeed a great opportunity for the city residents to support the BJP candidates to ensure the overall development and of the city,” said Ex in-charge of Chandigarh Bharatiya Janata Party unit, Aarti Mehra, a senior BJP leader, who was in the city today to extend her support to the BJP candidates of different wards ahead of the Municipal Corporation elections.

Mehra, who has served as Mayor, Municipal Corporation, Delhi (MCD) and as the chairperson of health committee in MCD, while sharing her views with the residents and party workers here in secotr 15 said, “The world is aware of our Prime Minster Narendra Modi’s vision — the holistic development and progress of the country. The city has seen how the MP, Kirron Kher gave the residents the biggest gift of age relaxation to apply for government jobs and how Arun Sood, Mayor MCC, initiated numerous projects for the beautification of the city. It is a great opportunity for the city residents to carry forward the development baton and vote and elect BJP candidates to strengthen party’s development drive in nook and corner of the city.”

Mehra who has handled and controlled MC, Delhi, a city with the one of the largest human density, expressed what initiatives Sood has taken in the capacity of Mayor, MC, Chandigarh, to enhance its beautification and to facilitate the residents with state of the art technology.

Others who were present at the occasion included Ramvir Bhatti, State Vice President, BJP Chandigarh unit and Chairman Chandigarh market committee; ward number 2 Candidate Raj Bala Malik; Rajesh Mahajan, President, Mandal No 2; R.K. Sood; Santosh Sharma; Balwinder Singh Aulakh; Anil Verma; Sunder Sharma; Pritam Sharma; Harish Bansal; Naveen Goyal and other party workers from the ward.

Election office opened in Sector 37D

Aarti Mehra today along with Sanjay Tandon, BJP Chandigarh President, inaugurated the election office in Sector 37D market. Arun Sood, candidate of Ward 8, was also present on the occasion. She also went to Ward 6, and campaigned in support of Farmila Devi in Dadumajra colony.
