Haryana CM appeals to vote for BJP for holistic development of City


 • Congress remained busy with scams during its tenure: Sanjay Tandon
• Congress failed on all fronts in development works: CM Khattar

Chandigarh, December 12, 2016: Manohar Lal Khattar, CM, Haryana today campaigned in Chandigarh for the BJP candidates in their respective wards and appealed the residents to support the party candidates for the development of the city. Lauding the efforts of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, he said his campaign against black money was being lauded by everyone.

He was accompanied by Sanjay Tandon BJP State President Chandigarh and other senior party leaders and workers. Khattar campaigned in different parts of the city, which included Manimajra in support of Vinod Aggarwal, candidate from ward 26, Ram Darbar in support of Bharat Kumar, ward 23 candidate, Sector 22 in support of Ravi Kant Sharma, ward 3 candidate and Sector 37 in support of Arun Sood, mayor and candidate from ward 8.

Khattar while addressing a public meeting welcomed several senior Congress leaders and supporters who joined the party and became an integral part of a corruption free party for a corruption free India.

CM Khattar said, “We all are aware of the age old adage ‘Strike while the iron is hot’. Your support in favour of the BJP candidates during the upcoming MC elections would act as the strike to eradicate corruption from the city. A clean sweep will not only push the corrupt out of the city but will also set a foundation for the overall development of the smartest city in the country.”

He said Congress failed on all accounts and did nothing for the development of the city. He said several projects just remained pending during the tenure of Congress. He appealed to the people to vote for BJP which will ensure development of the city.

BJP’s Chandigarh State President Sanjay Tandon while welcoming those who joined BJP from Congress said, “I heartily welcome all those who have joined BJP today. Bharatiya Janata Party is not just a political party but it is a family that thinks about all. Here we work and grow hand in hand not only for personal prosperity but for the development and prosperity of the nation. After all for us, our nation is our pride!”

Attacking the Congress, Tandon said, “In Chandigarh Congress was caught in several scams and if Congress leaders were selling their own tickets, won’t they compromise with development of city?, he said adding, more and more people were joining the BJP, which was a clear indication that people were supporting the party and ideology of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
