Chandigarh, December 14, 2016: Satpal ji Maharaj, MP from Uttarakhand and former Union Minister who is also the National Executive Member of BJP was in Chandigarh today to carry forward the election campaign in support of BJP candidates for the MC elections.

He visited ward number 20 to campaign for BJP candidate Shakti Parkash Devshali and ward 13 candidate Heera Negi. The public meeting was organized by the BJP Uttarakhand Cell Chandigarh.

While addressing the BJP workers and supporters, Satpal ji Maharaj said, “Demonetization is indeed a hard time for the nation. But I must say that this phase is like labor pain that each woman undergoes while giving birth to her child. I would seek your support in this phase to bear this pain which is important to give birth to a new India- a country that is free from corruption and black money and continues to progress on the path of development to become a world leader.”

He urged people to be strong in this time of transition. He said the country needs its people’s support to eradicate all the evils from the country including corruption, and black money. He said, “Under the regime of Lal Bahadur Shastri when the country was facing acute scarcity of food, on his appeal, kept fast for a day to overcome the catastrophe. The country needs the same dedication today. For a better future I would request you all to support the vision for a superior India.”
