Demonetization to benefit general public: P. Muralidhar Rao



“With BJP waging war on black money positive results will be visible in the coming six months”, said P. Muralidhar Rao, National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was addressing the media persons at the BJP office Kamlam in Sector 33 here.

Rao, while elaborating on the demonetization move of the Narendra Modi government said BJP is committed to take measures against black money since last 15 years. It was in 2009 that Sh. L.K. Advani had led a campaign Jan Chetna Rally making it clear the commitment of the party to flush out black money.

Among others present on the occasion were Sanjay Tandon, Chandigarh Pradesh BJP President, Chander Shekhar, Chandigarh BJP General Secretary, Kamla Sharma, former BJP Chandigarh President, Raghbir Lal Arora, BJP Chandigarh Vice President and Ravinder Pathania, Media Incharge of the party.

He said while this move will not only curb black money in the country, it will also help the economy flourish in the coming days. He also said people will see results in the next six months and benefit in the form of curbing black money would reflect in the Union budget for the coming financial year.

He further said people who are facing hardships today will get the benefits of demonetization, which has been able to achieve its objectives like significant impact on terrorist networks, check on drug trafficking and bringing down inflation.

He said his money, in return, will be utilized to introduce more welfare schemes and development programmes for the people in the Union budget, he said added. Rao said government-run schools, health centres, pending irrigation projects and check dams would get more funds.
