Chandigarh, December 17, 2016: Arun Sood, City
Mayor today issued a legal notice to Rajesh Sharma, Congress candidate from ward
number 8 and Dainik Bhaskar, Hindi daily for defamatory propaganda against him.
Sood
in his notice to the candidate and newspaper stated that a pamphlet giving
appearance of a newspaper was inserted in Dainik Bhaskar on Saturday and
circulated in ward 8 from where Arun Sood is contesting on BJP candidate.
Sood
has said most of the news items in the pamphlet are from Dainik Bhaskar, and
are against the BJP candidate.
These pamphlets, he has complained, were
circulated this morning in Sectors 37 and 38, and amounts to defamation.
