‘Cong diverting attention of people from its own misrule and misdeeds’
Chandigarh, December 6, 2016: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today came down heavily on the former Congress MP, Pawan Kumar Bansal who had blamed the BJP for befooling the general public in the name of development works. Sanjay Tandon,
Chandigarh State President, while reacting to the same said the former MP was only trying to divert the attention of people who were aware of the misrule of the Congress in the last four years of regime in the Municipal Corporation.
He said the election this time was between Congress scamsters and development done by the BJP.
Tandon said that ever since BJP has taken on Congress by reaching out to people on issues of non-performance, the Congress leaders were baffled and had no issues to rake against the BJP, which had not only met the expectations of people in the last 11 months, but had also ensured a clean working, while most of the senior Congress leaders were embroiled in some controversy or the other.
The party president said former Congress MP, Bansal who himself was shown the exit door by Chandigarh electorate, should refrain from issuing such statements.
Tandon said recent joining of senior Congress leaders had proved Congress is losing its sheen and Bansal should face the reality with dignity rather than indulging in baseless blame game.
He said, it was rather Congress befooling people by taking up non-issues, and by criticizing demonetization it only means Congress is supporting black money and it seems Bansal and other Congress leaders with black money were now disturbed over the demonetization move,
Tandon said BJP victory in civic polls in other parts of the country had clearly brought out that the general public is overwhelmingly supporting the Narendra Modi government and demonetization was a move which would benefit the masses.
“When a bridge is made, it causes some inconvenience to people and they know it is for their betterment, but once it is built, its advantages are realized”, he said, adding it was BJP which cleansed the system and Congress is misleading the general public by shedding crocodile tears.
