Says Chandigarh voter is intelligent and will give a befitting reply to Cong

Chandigarh, December 17, 2016: Sanjay Tandon, Chandigarh BJP President today took on the Congress on the statement made by former Congress MP, Pawan Kumar Bansal on the issue of giving voting rights to the nominated councillors. Tandon said during last three times Congress has enjoyed the power on strength of the nominated councillors.

“This time the government in the central government is of BJP and now Congress is raising this kind of an issue”, he said, adding the common man in Chandigarh knows that BJP will win in these elections and shall be capturing all seats of Mayor, Senior Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayor.

“They are now realizing their mistakes and intelligent people of Chandigarh will give a befitting to double speak of the Congress”, said Tandon.

Tandon was reacting to the statement made by Bansal in which he had ‘admitted’ that he is to be blamed on the issue of giving voting rights to the nominated councillors even when the constitution did not allow any voting rights to nominated councillors.
