Residents assures full support to BJP candidates


People unhappy with sitting Congress and other party’s Councillors• Bharat Kumar assures residents of better facilities in Hallomajra• Gurpreet Singh Dhillon assures to carry forward development work    

Chandigarh, December 5, 2016: The BJP candidates are getting massive support from resident welfare bodies, trader organizations, and different communities as they reached out to people through rallies, nukkar meetings and door to door campaigns.

BJP had yesterday got a major boost with senior Congress leaders and workers joining the party in presence of Sanjay Tandon, Chandigarh State President.

Candidate from ward number 19, Raj Kishore, carried out the door to door campaign in the tenement area in Bapu Dham where the residents apprised him of the poor condition of the vicinity. Residents said they regretted their decision of nominating a councillor who took no initiatives for the betterment of the ward.

Shakti Parkash Devshali, candidate from ward number 20 today visited industrial units in Industrial area Phases-1, colony number 4 and sector 29-B to interact with the factory workers and residents of both the localities respectively. Shakti said, “The residents are aware of the development work that the councillor has initiated during the last tenure and I will make sure to accomplish the works and also initiate further development in the ward especially the beautification of the ward.”

During door to door campaigning in ward number 21, candidate Gurpreet Singh Dhillon interacted with the residents to assure them overall development in the ward and execution of the pending works that have been taken up by the sitting councillor Heera Negi. Completion of open gym, completion of joggers’ track, and giving the sector an e-Sampark centre are some of the works that are on the candidate priority list of the candidate.

Bharat Kumar, candidate from ward number 23, while campaigning in Hallomajra interacted with the residents and received appreciation from the residents for the work that the party is doing. He said, “The residents are expecting a better future as most of them complained that the sitting councillor from the ward rarely heard their concerns.”

Aggressively campaigning for the elections in the ward,Kanwarjeet Singh Rana, candidate from ward number 14, met the residents in sector 45-C and also interacted with various groups during mohalla meetings. The Valmiki Society assured complete support to the candidate as the present BJP councillor has worked remarkably for the development of the ward.

Ward number 12 candidate, Chandrawati Shukla, while carrying out door to door campaign in her ward, interacted with the residents of sector 52 Housing Board colony and residents of Kajheri. She also met the traders in the motor market sector 53.  She assured them all progress in the ward that they have not been able to see because of the laidback outlook of the present Congress councilor.

Heera Negi, sitting councillor from ward number 21 and candidate from ward number 13 interacted with several women groups to understand female oriented issues and challenges. She assured the women voters that they will be given better and hygienic public facilities besides reinforcing better security in the ward.
