Independent candidates from different wards withdraw nominations in Support of BJP


Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today got a shot in the arm as different independent candidates who were contesting against BJP candidates have withdrawn their nominations and are now extending overall support to the party candidates with the efforts of Sanjay Tandon, Chandigarh State President of BJP.

Independent candidate from ward number 21, Rakesh Sharma (Rocky) a resident of the tenement colony, sector 32, has extended his support to the BJP candidate Gurpreet Singh Dhillon. Sharma, withdrew his nomination today and extended his support in the favour of party candidate in the presence of more than 200 of his supporters who will now be campaigning for Dhillon in the ward.

Meanwhile, independent candidate Vijay Singh from ward No. 14 has extended his support to the BJP candidate Kanvarjeet Singh Rana. Vijay Singh is a hard working and dedicated leader.

He while extending his support to the BJP candidate advised him to work towards giving a better future to the youth in the ward. Kanwarjeet welcomed Singh’s decision and assured him of overall development in the ward. He reassured Singh to work in harmonization with each other for the betterment of the ward.
